From the early days of Forums, where like minded people could interact and swap stories to modern social sites such as Facebook or MySpace. Instant Messaging took this interaction and upgraded it to real time conversations. Added smileys or emoticons, to convey human emotions such as laughing or anger, which sometimes could get lost in written translation.

It’s no wonder that Bingo added this feature to their online sites. Bingo sites that offer rich, interactive chat facilities, stand a much better chance of building a community than those that don’t. To put it bluntly, an online bingo site that has no community, is like a bingo games card without any numbers. They are a far less attractive proposition than a bingo site which nurtures and allows it’s community to interact with each other.
