Banged Up For Playing Bingo

Spare a thought for 6 British holidaymakers today after they were arrested and detained for playing bingo while on holiday in Turkey. The six hapless holidaymakers were out playing bingo in the holiday resort of Altinkum at the Pyramid Bar when the Police raided. In total 15 bingo players were arrested but nine were released without charge while the remaining six were detained then released with a £55 fine.

Turkey has a strict no gambling policy and bingo unfortunately falls under this law. Although the holidaymakers pleaded that they were just running the game for their charity night to help raise funds for a British woman whi is suffering with cancer. It looks likely that those that were detained and fined may have a criminal record for playing bingo.
