You Won £5,000 Bingo Prize – Is That It?

There is an old saying, that “You cannot please everybody all the time” and this is very true for Mrs Payton, 30, who lives at Clare Crescent, Wolverhampton. She recently won £5,000 at her Mecca Bingo club and said she was “disappointed” at hearing how much she won.

However, to be fair to Mrs Payton she thought she was playing bingo in a regional game and when told she had won the jackpot, an expected £250,000, was overjoyed. Her delight soon turned to dissapointment when she was contacted by Mecca Bingo and told that it was a National game and there had been many jackpot winners with which she had to share the prize with.

Mrs Payton said in the Wolverhampton Express and Star: “The staff told us it was a regional only final and they told me I’d won a lot of money. I was very disappointed to find out I’d won a lot less.”
