Euro Millions – Is this Right?

Imagine being the talk of the town, well for one lucky person they are now the talk of the World! For they have just bought the winning ticket in this weeks Euro millions netting them over £110,000,000 making it the largest, single amount won on the Euro Millions. The ticket bought in Madrid (Spain) as of yet, has not been claimed.

Is this right that one person can become so rich on a £1.50 stake? The winning ticket will give its owner more money than your average A-list film star or team of Premiership footballers. Just imagine never having to worry about money ever again! Holidays, cars, homes you could have them all! Live wherever you wanted in the world and dine at the finest restaurants. But, would you ever be happy?

You could give all your friends more money than they’d care for, pay off mortgages, buy them cars, and this wouldn’t scrape the surface of the fortune won. Where would you live, with that vast amount of money? Would you feel safe? In many cases people that win huge sums of money feel isolated as they do not fit in to the environment which they are thrown.

Research has shown that if you were unhappy before you win big, the likelihood is that you will still be unhappy but with a larger bank account and a forever smiling bank manager. Would it not be better to put a cap on these type of winnings and split the money more effectively, making more peoples dreams come true instead of making just one persons life become a rich prison cell.
