90-Ball And 75-Ball Bingo Games
Bingo can be played with either 90 balls or 75 balls. In Australia and in Britain most bingo is played with 90 balls. This means that there will be a total of 90 numbers called in the game unless of course all there are bingos on all the patterns before all the balls are played.
A 75 ball game uses (you guessed it!) 75 balls. This is more popular in the United States and Canada than the 90 ball game is. Again, balls will be called until there are bingos on all the patterns of the particular game.
A 90 ball bingo game card has three rows with nine columns. There are five squares that will have numbers in them in every row (numbers from 1 to 90). A 75 ball bingo game will have a card that looks a little different than a 90 ball card will look as it only needs to accommodate 75 numbers.
Different Bingo Games Formats
Both the 90 ball game and the 75 ball game operate from the same basic premise. That is that balls will be called one at a time until a player or players complete one or more designated patterns on their card and call bingo.
Some games will have three patterns that can be called. The first is a single line bingo which means that all the squares on the card in a row or column are marked off with numbers that have been called. This is a single line bingo.
The second pattern usually in play is a two line bingo. This means that two lines must be marked off completely on a card. A full house bingo means that all the squares on a card have been marked off before any other player.
Most games have these three patterns in play and so, play will continue even after a player has called bingo on the one line and the two line bingos. Once a bingo has been called on the full house bingo pattern the game ends. Although 90-ball and 75-ball Bingo Games have the same basic foundation there are numerous differences in the way they’re played.
Alternative Patterns in Bingo Games
Occasionally bingo games will be played with only one pattern to be called. Other times, bingo games are played with alternative or odd patterns just to up the game a little and to change things up a bit. Some of these alternative patterns may include alphabet patterns, number patterns or any number of combination patterns you can imagine.
Some players prefer to play certain pattern games and will only play those. Other players like to play no matter what the pattern used. When you sign on to your favourite bingo sites, take a look around and see what patterns of play are being used and see if there are upcoming games that use only one pattern or unusual patterns if those are of special interest to you.
All online bingo games are fun and a bit of a challenge, whether they have 90 or 75 balls or whether they are full house only or multi patterned wins. Whichever game you choose, the most important thing is to enjoy yourself.
